About Us - School Information

Safety Procedures

Our school follows the Ministry of Education guidelines of Safe, Caring, and Orderly Schools which strives to ensure schools are places where students are free from harm, where clear expectations of acceptable behaviour are held and met and where all members of the school community feel they belong.

Our school regularly participates in drills including fire, earthquake and lockdown drills. At the beginning of each school year we ask parents to verify their contact information and emergency contact lists which are maintained in case of an emergency.

Our response to an emergency will vary depending on the situation. Any response will be coordinated with our local support and emergency personnel. The school district works in partnership with the New Westminster Police Department, the Fire Department, New Westminster City, the Ministry of Children and Family Services, and Fraser Health.
