Wednesday, Feb. 13: It’s back to school at New Westminster Schools today!
Feb. 13, 2019 – New Westminster Schools are OPEN for Wednesday. Environment Canada has lifted the snowfall warning for the region and ALL CLASSES ARE RESUMED TODAY.
Our maintenance crew has worked tirelessly to keep our schools and properties safe. Parking lots and walkways are being cleared and icicle hazards addressed. Their work is appreciated.
The South Coast snowfall has shattered several records over the past 49 hours, with Metro Vancouver racking up three times the usual historical February average snowfall of six centimetres.
That means for some students, snow day has been more of a ‘shovel day’ as families and neighbours throughout the city do their part to keep sidewalks clear.
